Painted Self Portrait

During the Painted Self Portrait, I experienced pros and cons. I first endured issues regarding the  background, they were vast in details. There was an immense amount of variables with the highlights of the roof. I used a combination of colors that are really similar to yellow in order to blend them all together. I used brushes known as Charcoal texture 1, soft round paint, charcoal shape paint, sample brush 116, and hard round paint. With these I was able to establish a blend and a painting like style as it displays the use of a wet brush. For the face I was able to use shading to create a shadow like aspect, I lowered the opacity and decreased the strokes used. This assignment had a profound influence on me by evoking emotions and sparking imagination. It also provides a window into different cultures, perspectives, and historical periods. Viewing or even developing a painting can be a personal and moving experience that can provoke thought and reflection. In addition, painting is like a therapeutic tool. Painting can be a powerful medium for personal and social transformation, allowing people to connect with themselves and others in new ways.Overall I really appreciate this design.
