Reflection
As a method to develop all the layers of grays, which were a dial of 8. I begun with the darkest first which included my hair, eyebrows, neck area, and pupils. In order to create massive contrast, I tried to create harsh lines such as semi straight lines. Then I tried to capture all the details either being shadows or specks of black. As you can see the portrait contain various of reflections which made the span of grays vast. I then started with other layers which were lighter than the previous black layer. These included the other facial features such as the forehead, cheeks, lips, and so on. Throughout the process I was able to gain experience among the pen tool and its assets. In addition the eyedropper tool as well as the swatches. Despite all these positives I still encountered a issue regarding the production of the sweater as it plastered with too much grays. However with proper patience and technique I was able to overcome this challenge. I took every layer step by step in order to confirm no mistakes. For the background I installed a black rectangle with a fill of black. This further exaggerates the contrast seen between the different grays. When creating the color version, I wanted to experiment with the fictional character named the Joker. I used the several colors regarding the primary color of red, white, purple, and green. I placed shades of each of these colors based off the light and darks of the grays. I choose to choice the shape tool to create a dripping affect with the face paint. In addition I proposed many different use of type to demonstrate the characters slogan. Throughout this assignment I experienced pros and cons.
I like your picture and creaticity. I like the colored version of your portrait. It looks very realistic and shows you worked hard on it.
ReplyDeleteI like how realistic and the accuracy that you put to your joker version of yourself. The make up is pretty fire with the shades of white, red and gray. I also like how you added phrases to surround your drawing.
ReplyDeletehello i am henry, today i will be giving my thoughts on Self-portrait in color. This Self-portrait in color is good overall however there so much color going on, it looks very colorful. The joker face looks really good. However you can add more details on the face for ex:you could add more details to the ear. I like how you drew the neck and added details to the neck. This is overall a good Self-portrait in color.
ReplyDeleteI really like how much work you put in the color portrait and how the little comments in the corner add to your character of the joker it really does look great
ReplyDeleteThe design is very creative, colorful, and very well done while making it complex. One thing i'll fix is the ears. I can't really see them but other than that, good work and detailed. Goated work 10/10 c:
